- A West Coast boy, through and through. Still roaming the world from home base Portland, Oregon. I like to make things. I'm a maker of images. I paint, mostly from the large forms of nature, in encaustic, gouache, ink and collage, and oils. Also etchings and monotypes. My intentions here, which I hope will become clearer to me as I go along, are to present thoughts and images on art, and mind, and nature or landscape. I'm interested in wild nature and our relationship to it as humans. How does land and water become landscape? Also, tame nature: how we appropriately or inappropriately inter-act with nature. Wendell Barry said in a poem, "There are no un-sacred places. Only sacred places and desecrated places." I'll show my work from various series and media, and write a bit, and then see what happens.
